We carry around 400 frames, almost all from small independent makers, and none of them on a buy-one-get-one shelf. Every pair is measured and fitted by a dispensing optician.
Choosing a frame
Start with the frame finder if you like, then come and try them on. No appointment is needed to browse. Tell us what you did not like about your last pair; it is the most useful thing you can say.
Lenses, made here
We glaze lenses in our own small workshop, which is why most glasses are ready in seven working days and why we can fix a problem the same afternoon. Varifocals are measured on the frame you choose, on you, never from a chart.
Looking after them
Adjustments, nose pads and screws are free for the life of the pair, and that applies to glasses you bought anywhere. Call in; there is no need to book.

“I brought in glasses I had bought online and they adjusted them for nothing. That is why I bought my next pair there.”
What people ask us first
How long do glasses take?
Seven working days for most single-vision and varifocal lenses, because we glaze them here. Complex prescriptions can take up to two weeks.
Can I use my prescription from somewhere else?
Yes. Bring it in, as long as it is less than two years old.
Do you put new lenses in old frames?
Yes, if the frame is sound. We check it first and tell you honestly if it will not survive the glazing.
