What we collect
When you book, contact us or visit, we collect your name, contact details and date of birth. During your care we record your clinical history, test results, prescriptions, retinal photographs and OCT scans. This is health data and we treat it with extra care.
Why we use it
To provide eye care and glasses, to recall you for your next test, to make funded-test claims where you qualify, and to refer you to other health professionals when your care needs it. We do not sell data and we do not use advertising trackers on this website.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are kept for at least ten years after your last visit, and children’s records until their 25th birthday, in line with professional guidance. Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted after twelve months.
Who we share it with
Only with those involved in your care: hospital eye services and your GP when we refer you, the body that pays for funded tests, and the laboratory that makes complex lenses. Each receives only what it needs.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your records, including your scans, ask us to correct them, or object to how we use them, by writing to [email protected]. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the [data protection authority].
